Course Title: Basic Orientation Plus®

Basic Orientation Plus® is a 4.5 hour course which was developed by the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils (ARSC) offered in many locations across the country. The purpose of this orientation is to inform the new contractor employee of general safety rules, regulations, practices and principles associated with the construction and contract maintenance/services industry, as well as re-informing and updating the experienced employee.

After completion of the classroom training, a validated test containing 50 questions is administered and each student must be able to answer at least 70 percent of the questions correctly to pass the course. Upon successful completion of the course, a photo I.D. will be issued to the participant. The BOP course is designed to meet OSHA minimum requirements when supplemented with site-specific training.
